In order to start learning to drive, you need to apply for your Provisional Driving License. You can do this three months before your seventeenth birthday (although you can't start driving until you turn seventeen).
Click here to apply for your Provisional Driving License online.
I will drive you to a quiet, residential area, then you'll be in the driving seat as I teach you how to safely start the car, move away and stop. Depending on how confident you're feeling, we will then move on to changing gears and moving from one road to another, before heading home.
Please remember to bring your Provisional Driving License with you, as well as your glasses - if you need them!
It is always a good idea to have an eye test just before you start learning, to ensure maximum safety when driving.
You don't need to have passed your Driving Theory Test before starting lessons, but you won't be able to book your Practical Driving Test without having passed your Theory Test.
According to the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), it takes most people 45 hours of lessons to learn how to drive, plus 22 hours of practice.
I will do everything in my power to bring you safely up to 'test standard' as quickly as possible.
